I am thrilled that I no longer have time to pop microwave popcorn, waiting for a disc to load. You can actually watch a 2 hour movie in two hours- not 2 hours, 20 minutes. Although the 'Brains of the operation' at McIntosh still insist the 881 is 'The Player' the 891 is a hands-down leap of speed, genuine usefullness, and joy. It doesn't keep you tapping your toes waiting for something to operate, load, resond to the remote, or open to load a disc. This model is about 150% better than Mac's first Blu Ray player, the MVP881.
